This interactive training workshop is delivered on Zoom for just 25 participants.

Presenter - Dr Jane Herd has 35 years’ experience in Children’s Social Work and Mental Health she specialises in supporting practitioners, carers and organisations in meeting the needs of traumatised children and young people.

Suitable for - anyone working with Traumatised Children and Young People- Foster Carers, Social Workers, Managers, IRO’s, Educators, Youth Justice, Health Practitioners, Therapists, Psychologists.

Learning Objectives

  1. To understand what we mean by attachment and what a secure attachment style is
  2. To explore the impact of trauma on attachment and the development of insecure attachment styles
  3. To consider what a trauma informed therapeutically based approach to insecure attachment may look like
  4. To look at and discuss practice examples to help participants feel confident in responding in new ways to children displaying insecure attachment styles

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
