Event: 17 March 2021 - Co-regulation, Growing Together - Caring for traumatised and looked after children and young people

This interactive training workshop is delivered on Zoom for just 25 participants.

Presenter - Colette Salkeld is a music therapist with over 20 years’ experience in working with foster carers and adopters in helping them care for traumatised children and young people.

Suitable for - anyone working with Traumatised Children and Young People- Foster Carers, Social Workers, Managers, IRO’s, Educators, Youth Justice, Health Practitioners, Therapists, Psychologists.

Learning Objectives

  1. To gain an understanding of what we mean by the term co-regulation
  2. To learn about the impact of trauma on children’s ability to self-regulate
  3. To understand how you can learn to become your child’s emotional regulator through how you are and what you do
  4. To learn about regulating your own emotional states and ways of being
