This interactive training workshop is delivered on Zoom for just 25 participants.

Presenter - Dr Jane Herd has 35 years’ experience in Children’s Social Work and Mental Health she specialises in supporting practitioners, carers and organisations in meeting the needs of traumatised children and young people

Suitable for - anyone working with Traumatised Children and Young People- Foster Carers, Social Workers, Managers, IRO’s, Educators, Youth Justice, Health Practitioners, Therapists, Psychologists

Learning Objectives

  1. To explore what we mean by the term resilience and its importance in children and young people’s development
  2. To learn about the factors that promote resilience as personal characteristics and environmental aspects
  3. To consider the impact of childhood trauma on children’s resilience
  4. To establish practical strategies and approaches to help traumatised children and young people develop their own resilience

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
