This interactive training workshop is delivered on Zoom for just 25 participants.

Presenter - Dr Jane Herd has 35 years’ experience in Children’s Social Work and Mental Health she specialises in supporting practitioners, carers and organisations in meeting the needs of traumatised children and young people.

Suitable for - anyone working with Traumatised Children and Young People- Foster Carers, Social Workers, Managers, IRO’s, Educators, Youth Justice, Health Practitioners, Therapists, Psychologists.

Learning Objectives

  1. To consider the complex experience of loss for traumatised and looked after children
  2. To provide an overview of a standard model of loss and consider its relevance for traumatised children
  3. To learn about Ambiguous Loss and its relevance for traumatised and looked after children
  4. Practical strategies and interventions to use in working with complex loss

All participants will receive a certificate of attendance
